Getting involved in the Student's Association should be a vital part of
every student's time at University. Your Students' Association is only as
good as the input from the members - so if we are doing something you don't like
or you think we could be doing something better TELL US, or better still why not
click here to find out about becoming a member of our
Students Council?
The next step for those of you who want to really get involved would be to
run for a trustee position. There are eleven of us altogether, including four
full time Sabbatical Students. The trustees meet every month and are responsible
for the day to day running of the Students' Association and implementing any
policies as requested by the Students' Council. Click
here to find out more about being a Trustee of the Students' Association.
Does that sound like too much, too soon? Well, don't panic! By far the
easiest way to get involved, and some would say the most enjoyable, is simply to
use our facilities. Yes, that's right! - Simply by socialising in either
of our Unions you are getting involved and helping the Students' Association.

Not only that but we have a wide range of clubs and societies just waiting
for you to get involved in. These are organised by students like you and range
from sporting clubs right through to role playing clubs. If you can't find a
club that floats your boat the get your like minded mates together and start
your own! Click here to find out more!
For the more political animals among you, UPSA works with the
NUS to campaign and demonstrate against
many things. The highest profile of the recent campaigns has been the Freedom of
Education and the Stop the War coalition, involving mass demonstrations and
rallies in London and Scotland.
Anything that you want to do to get involved come and see us about it! - All
the Paisley Trustees are based on the fourth floor of the Paisley Union building
and in down in Ayr, you can find the trustee office in the Media block -
Remember, if you get stuck, just ask any Union staff member, as they'll be
pleased to point you in the right direction!
